Who We Are
Delaney Barbecue came to be when Dan Delaney’s love of barbecue became fanaticism. After tasting the best Texas brisket of his life, Delaney decided to (illegally) haul a 18’ foot smoker from Texas to Brooklyn. A series of BBQ pop-ups dubbed “Brisket Labs” followed, and finally, to much anticipation, he opened BrisketTown, a cozy restaurant in Williamsburg serving up slow-smoked 'cue. The restaurant has received a fair share of accolades and awards, including a nomination for the James Beard Award, the highest honor in the culinary world.
Our Style of Barbecue
For some, barbecue is hamburgers and hot dogs in a backyard. To us, it's America's first, and most classic style of cooking. And though all regions of the country have their distinct style and flavor, one thing they all share is the amount of time, love, and dedication that goes into smoking each mouth watering bite.
We focus on recreating the type of BBQ you'd find in Central-Texas, which includes slow smoked brisket, juicy pork ribs, and hot link sausages that snap when you eat them. True to form, we season simply, with as little as salt and pepper, and then smoke for up to 16 hours, using nothing but white oak and a whole lot of patience.
Since 2012, we’ve catered over 150 fun-filled unions.
Here's what we can do for you:
We’ll design a feast featuring our slow smoked meats and delicious sides. If you’d like, we can also start with passed hors d’oeuvres and end with southern pies.
We can set up a beer and wine bar, or bring in bartenders that can mix any kind of cocktail your guests can dream up. If you’d prefer to BYO, that’s fine, too.
If you’re planning a full blown affair, we can hire waiters, mixologists, and even make suggestions for DJs for you. That means all you have to do is show up (basically.)
We’re happy to coordinate renting the tables, chairs, napkins, everything down to the forks you and your guests will use. Just let us know if you’d like us to help out.
Pricing & getting started
Our pricing is always custom. If you want us to be your caterer, we'll do what it takes to make it happen. When we just offer food it can range from $45 to $75 per guest. If we add drinks, staffing and rentals, the total price can range from $125 to $200, depending on your package.
To get started, click the link below. We will get in touch, and swap wedding ideas. Together we'll create a custom quote, and work with you to revise it until it's just right. The next step will be to come in for a tasting. Yum! Then, if the stars align, you lock in the date.
In the months leading up to the wedding we'll visit your venue, create a floor plan, and schedule the entire affair. We'll also finalize your menu, guest count, and help you pick out all of your rentals from the salad fork to the napkins.
